Many projects are active and have been active within Asgardia and some of them have relations with other projects.
APCI, the Asgardia Project Coordination Institute, provides an overview of all Asgardian projects.
Projects can be complex and can be in and/or for the space environment.
APCI creates and maintains a standardized project management framework, APMF, to assist in this.
The inception of a start-up company can also be seen and approached as a project,
so APCI and APMF are also relevant for the inception of start-ups.
Before a project can be started, a Project Proposal is to be written and approved.
The main goal of APCI is:
- ensuring that the collection of projects related to Asgardia is coordinated;
the APCI institute acts as the central hub for project management in Asgardia,
providing support and guidance to project teams
(note that inceptions of start-ups can also be dealt with as projects, so APCI can also assist in the coordination of inceptions of start-ups).
Additional goals of APCI are:
- assist in and ensure that Asgardian projects comply to the framework APMF;
- assist in and ensure that Asgardian projects comply to Asgardian Standards;
note that AIS maintains Asgardian Standards and assists in creating and changing Asgardian Standards
(the Standards, the procedures and their administration are on the AIS site);
- make projects interesting enough, so that non-Residents want to be involved, thus increasing the number of Residents;
- improve APCI.
